The onboard languages offered are usually specified in the travel advertisement. There is also the option of filtering according to a desired language.
Flights are partly offered by the cruise lines as package holiday. Here the transfer from the airport to the ship is also included. If a cruise line company offers the cruise only without flight, flights can be added to the booking online. The local transfer is then usually not included.

Advice and booking on site at our travel agency
The basic price of a cruise can be compared with any other package holiday - so there are exclusive deals, of course, that have their price, but also cruise deals, which are quite suitable for the smaller purse. Here you are recommended to look for offers at your online travel agency kreuzfahrten.de.
Of course, the route and the planned length of the cruise determine the price. For example, if you want to travel to the Caribbean or even plan a world tour, the cruise is much more expensive than a river cruise on our local waters.
However, depending on the booked ship, additional costs will be added to the basic price. Many cruise lines advertise with all-inclusive, but that does not mean that all costs are covered. Here you should inform yourself before departure exactly which services are actually included in the travel price.
If beverage packages are offered, it makes sense to first consider to what extent you will actually use the services and whether the drinks included in the basic price can cover your daily needs.
If services not included in the travel price are collected on an onboard account, which must then be paid at the end of the tour, it is worth creating a list of the expenses. Very quickly, even smaller amounts add up!
A cruise cannot be compared to a journey on the small sailing dinghy. All ocean giants have stabilizers that prevent so-called rolling, i.e. side movement of the ship. And this rolling is usually responsible for the dreaded seasickness. The pounding, the up and down movement, is usually less uncomfortable.
Of course, it depends on the sea. If the sea is rough, vulnerable travelers may experience dizziness and nausea. By the way, men are less vulnerable than women and children!
However, you can prevent a possible seasickness very well, already at the time of booking: In a cabin in the middle or on the hull of the ship, the undulations are the least noticeable.
It also helps to avoid tobacco and alcohol the day before departure. Moreover you can get in the pharmacy a means that should relieve the unpleasant side effects of a seasickness significantly.
And if it still happens then what ? In case of a light nausea, distraction of any kind helps - at the bar, but not with beer, but rather with a cup of tea. It is also helpful to rest. This allows the brain to recover from the unfamiliar movement.
In case of emergency you should consult the onboard doctor. But you should not be deterred before the journey by the possibility of getting seasick. As a rule, the complaints disappear quite quickly, so you can enjoy your dream cruise to the fullest!
Whether it's the small indoor cabin or the luxury suite with access to the exclusive spa area, of course, depends on your financial resources. However, there are quite a few things that you should keep in mind when choosing your cabin.
If you occasionally need a private retreat, you may want to choose the next higher cabin category, if feasible. So it is a clear added gain to look at the gentle waves of the sea than always only the - usually quite luxurious cabin furnishings in mind.
For the greatest possible privacy, you can also consider a cabin with a private balcony. However, such a choice is only meaningful if the itinerary and the season are likely to allow an outdoor stay. Otherwise, the view through the wide panorama window is quite enough.
On the other hand, if you plan to simply use your cabin as a place to sleep, you can save considerably with an inside cabin. Although it lacks the view of the wide sea, in terms of cabin size and furnishings, however, it corresponds to the outside cabin. In addition, some ships score with a virtual window that even gives you a view of the current location of the ship!
For the ultimate in luxury, choose a suite. But even here there are very different categories, depending on the selected cruise line and the booked ship. Whether junior or owner suite - apart from the size and furnishings, the offers differ considerably and have different advantages. We are happy to advise you in the choice of your very own home at sea.
Tuxedo and evening dress or jeans and T-shirt? The simple answer: both. It's not that easy: depending on the cruise line, the dress code differs considerably.
Most cruise lines have thrown overboard long overstated overly stiff clothing conventions and advise on a casual dress style, at least until about 18:00, after which it gets much more formal. In order to be stylishly dressed on your cruise, you should pay attention to the details of the dress code of the respective cruise line, as specified at kreuzfahrten.de or on the cruise line's website. A short summary of the possible clothing styles:
Casual or light: even the beloved jeans are allowed here, but they should not be too full of holes. Everyday clothing is suitable. These include the lightweight, shorter summer skirt or shorts.
Resort-casual or sporty casual describes a more elegant clothing style. Men should do without shorts and women should change jeans with a pretty dress.
If the dress code is casual-elegant, smart casual or semi-formal, this means for men shirt and jacket, in some cases a tie is also a requirement. The ladies are well dressed in a cocktail dress, an elegant suit or trouser suit.
A formal dress style describes festive evening wear. These include the tuxedo, the dark suit and tie. The ladies choose an evening or cocktail dress, an elegant costume or the chic trouser suit.
In general, clothes belong in the suitcase, which are necessary for all activities, such as shore excursions or the sports offer on the ship. These include comfortable footwear and a raincoat for hiking as well as swimwear and sportswear.
Do you travel alone? With the whole family? Do you prefer the big adventure in nature or do you want to be entertained as well? There is a suitable lid for every pot - and that's just the same with cruises: apart from a variety of routes, the various cruise lines also show their own individual orientations.
If you are traveling alone, a single cabin will be important to you. Only a few cruise lines offer pure single cabins, usually a single cabin surcharge is calculated for the double cabin used alone. You will find what you are looking for on Norwegian Cruse Line, the cruise line offers extra single cabins. You may also find offers without extra charge at Hapag Lloyd Cruises or at Royal Caribbean.
Whether baby, toddler or teen - on a journey with children different requirements apply than on a cruise alone or in pairs. So the little ones want to be active. If you are planning a family cruise, make sure that there is an entertainment program for children. For example, AIDA Cruises or Costa Cruises are very child-friendly. But also many other cruise lines have specialized on the smallest guests, worthwhile here is an individual consultation with kreuzfahrten.de.
And as far as entertainment and shore excursions are concerned, cruises are as varied as a journey can be. If you do not want 24-hour entertainment, you will surely choose a different ship than the one who expects a selection of great shows, possibly several a day. We are happy to help you in your search for the right ship!
