In Breege you can still admire the typical captain houses from the 18th and 19th centuries. They are an indication that Breege was once a place of sailors and was temporarily was considered the richest village of Ruegen.
Remarkable is also the Park Juliusruh, which was laid out in 1895 by Julius von der Lancken, the former estate owners. A granite stone is dedicated  there to the initiator of this park.
