One of the many sights is the stone fountain in front of the new city hall, defined in the documents as "Gigerlitzbrunnen", built by the Italian stonemasonry master Spozzi around 1636. The Kalvarien chapel is also worth a visit. It holds the life-size figures of the crucified, the two who were crucified with Jesus, and the three assissting figures, the Holy Virgin, Mary Magdalene and St. John. A highlight is the oldest castle of Austria, built around 1490, here you can watch one of the largest and oldest ambulatory-inner courtyard of the late Renaissance. The gardens of the castle invite to a pleasant stroll. Furthermore, you can learn here about one of the most important family histories, especially for Europe, of the Sachsen-Coburg-Gotha House. One of the most beautiful Christmas altars of Austria houses the castle chapel, accommodated in an enormous hall of knights. There is also the posibility to visit the so-called "Stone Theatre", a special construction from the 17th century.
