The Potsdam harbor is impressive. It is located very centrally in the city at the Langen bridge and here modern ships meet next to historic steamers. There is lively activity around the harbor. Nikolai Church and the Dutch quarter with gabled houses are extremely pretty. Not in vain is Potsdam also called the "Versailles of the North". There are also castles in the town center, including the Cecilienhof Palace, the Marble Palace and Babelsberg Palace. If you are interested in film here is also perfect here. There are guided tours through the Babelsberg Filmstudios and near the port is the Film Museum. Potsdam has some more to offer. Best discover the city by yourself and find out where you feel most comfortable.
