The city of Puerto del Rosario is located on the Canary Island of Fuerteventura and has about 30,000 inhabitants. The port is the center of the city and has long been called "Puerto de Carbas", meaning goat port, because of the many goats living here. For a long time, the harbor served commerce, nowadays it is mainly a passenger port. Here is a new waterfront promenade.
