Skradin is a small Croatian town with about 4,000 inhabitants, 18 km away from Š Sibenik. On the territory of the present-day city once settled Illyrians and Romans and already in the 4th century Skradin became a bishop see. Today, the place borders the famous National Park Krka.

On the main square of Skradin rises the Church of the Little Madonna from the 18th century, whose belfry is about 20 meters away. Worth a visit are also the churches of St. Petko, St. Jeronimus and the Orthodox St. Spiridion, built in the 19th century. The nearby nature reserve Slapovi Krke is mainly known for its beautiful waterfalls. The most imposing of them, Skradinski Buk, was named after the city of Skradin. In its vicinity there are a series of old water mills where grain was formerly ground and which are still put into service for demonstration today.
