St. John's is located on the northwest coast of the island of Antigua in the Caribbean. Around 30,000 people live in this city. Initially under British rule, Antigua only became independent in 1981 and, together with Barbuda, founded an island state. St. John's also serves as the main port and export port for economic goods such as cotton and sugar, but many people also live on pottery and crafts, which is strongly promoted by tourism.
