Zaanse Schans / Netherlands

From the early 1960s to the mid-1970s, and also occasionally in later years, numerous buildings were transported from across the region to the Zaanse Schans and rebuilt here, at the same time windmills originally present on site were restored. Walk through the building of this historical village, whether through an old grocery store, the cheese, the clog factory or the world's only paint mill is a delight for young and old! Ideal as souvenir are the locally manufactured products, including cheese, biscuits and mustard, which can be purchased  here.
