Queen Victoria - with British elegance on oceans

After a great revue at the Royal Court Theater, you enter the ballroom and enjoy the dance on the elegant parquet floor. The lady is wearing evening dress, the man smoking. Afterwards, you can round off the successful evening with piano music and a view of the sea.

This program is available every evening on the Queen Victoria of the Cunard Line. The onboard theater offers box seats and the Queens Room's chandeliers provide the perfect setting for stylish dancing. From the Commodore Club the view extends far beyond the bow.

Since the refurbishment in 2017, the Queen Victoria spoils its 2,061 guests with an additional sundeck and conservatory. The Chart Room serves refreshing cocktails in a dignified atmosphere. Whether in the spicy sea air or in the sun-drenched interior: this ship represents pure British elegance.

Before the cruise

Arrival and departure from / to the ship
The advertised cruises are from / to port. Upon request, you can book a Cunard arrival / departure arrangement on surcharge. It consists of the flights from / to Germany,Switzerland or Austria, transfers for embarkation/disembarkation and hotel overnight stays according to the flight schedule (if required). The flights are booked for the day of embarkation or disembarkation, depending on availability. The starting prices for each cruise are shown in the price charts.
The flight dates for the outbound and return ride can be changed individually upon request and depending on availability. For transatlantic crossings, the date for the transatlantic flight can be freely selected within three months of the travel date, depending on availability. However, additional costs may arise due to a different season or booking class. If the flight dates are changed individually, you will no longer be entitled to transfers and hotel overnight stays according to the flight schedule included in the Cunard arrival/departure arrangement. The flights are operated by renowned IATA airlines. Transportation is in the economy class in specified booking classes.
If these are fully booked, additional costs may also arise. Direct flights or preferred airlines cannot be guaranteed. You will receive all information upon booking. If you make changes to flight tickets that have already been issued, you will be charged the fees charged by the airlines. The airlines' terms and conditions of transportation are binding. For all cruises, arrival/departure to/from Hamburg is at your own expense and arrangements.

Medical care/ pregnancy /medication /seasickness
The Cunard ships have a modern hospital to provide medical assistance in the event of illness and accidents. The existing facilities are not intended to further treat existing illnesses upon departure. Please inquire in writing with the cruise line before booking if you require special medical care. There is no dialysis station.
Due to the limited range of services possible on board and the medical care that is not always immediately available on land, in the case of pregnancy, the 23rd week of pregnancy must not be exceeded at the time of disembarkation. All pregnant women must carry a certificate from their doctor or midwife confirming the health of the mother and unborn child and their ability to travel. There must also be a certificate stating that it is not a high-risk pregnancy. The expected date of birth must also be confirmed in writing. A corresponding fee will be charged for medical treatment on board and will be charged to your onboard account. Please make sure that any costs for medical treatment on board or abroad are covered by a suitable foreign travel health insurance. All costs of this kind must be paid by the traveler directly on site.
If, contrary to expectations, you become seriously ill during your cruise so that you cannot continue the cruise, you will be escorted off board at the next port and placed in the care of our port agent. A Cunard representative will contact you on land and provide further support if required. If you need to take medication, it is strongly recommended that you carry it in your hand luggage in the original packaging. Also, take an extra supply of your medication with you on the cruise so that you are prepared for unforeseeable events. If you are receiving medical treatment for a more serious illness, please carry a current report from your treating doctor with relevant information. If you need to bring medical supplies, other equipment or syringes on board, please inform Cunard as early as possible before departure. Cunard ships are equipped with stabilizers that ensure a smooth ride. If you still notice symptoms of seasickness, you can seek treatment at the hospital. Seasickness medication is sold at the reception (Purser's Office).

Covid-19 vaccination and testing regulations
There are currently no pre-cruise vaccinations or testing requirements for cruises aboard Cunard Queens. However, it is recommended that all guests traveling on the ships have a current Covid-19 vaccination and booster if recommended and available for you.
If you exhibit symptoms of Covid-19 or have a positive test result within three days of travel, please speak to a staff member at the embarkation terminal. The ship's medical staff may examine you to confirm that you are fit to travel. Vaccination and testing policies and onboard protocols are reviewed regularly and are subject to change at any time. If the requirements for a cruise change, the affected guests will be contacted directly before the cruise. Additionally, some ports may have specific vaccination or testing policies for guests on land at the time of travel that differ from Cunard's vaccination and testing policies.During your trip, it is your responsibility to comply with all entry requirements of the relevant country at the time of departure. Please check the government website of the country you are traveling to for current entry requirements as we cannot accept responsibility if you are refused entry to a country because you do not meet the entry requirements.

In case of a positive test on board
If you test positive for Covid-19 on board, you will need to isolate for your own well-being and the well-being of other guests.
The cruise line ensures you are well looked after, with full cabin service, a choice of three meals per day and free laundry service. Close contacts of guests who test positive on board are not required to isolate, but additional testing and other protocols, such as: eating in the cabin and wearing masks outside the cabin apply. The dedicated medical teams are also ready to care for you, either for the duration of the required isolation or until the scheduled port of disembarkation. If a positive case occurs on board, the onboard medical team will determine the best course of action in collaboration with the local port authority. If you need to disembark for this reason, our dedicated support team will help you contact your travel insurance provider.

State regulations
The cruise line would like to remind you to check the current travel regulations for your vacation in good time. It is your responsibility as a guest to comply with all required entry and exit requirements. This applies to the country of embarkation, to the countries you visit during the cruise, to the country of disembarkation and also for re-entry into your home country. Find out more on the official websites of the states or at the Federal Foreign Office. Some of the regulations change at very short notice and without prior notice.

Cunard World Club
After your first Cunard cruise, the Cunard World Club is open to you. If you are already a member, you can enjoy a 5% club discount if you book on time. Valid for the first and second person on a booking.
Diet food
Cunard will gladly accommodate your requests for special diets such as low-sodium, low-fat, reduced-sugar, lactose-intolerant, dairy-free, gluten-free, wheat-free and vegetarian, vegan and kosher diets. Please note, however, that the chefs do not have any medical training and cannot provide appropriate advice in this regard. In any case, please contact your travel agent at least six months before the start of your cruise or upon booking, stating your dietary requirements. On board, please have your order reconfirmed by the Maître d'Hotel. Every evening your waiter will discuss your dining wishes with you for the following day.
Single occupancy of a cabin / suite
The QUEEN MARY 2, the QUEEN VICTORIA and the QUEEN ELIZABETH have single cabins. The prices are available upon request. If you would like a twin cabin/suite for single use, the following surcharges apply to the travel price advertised per person for double occupancy on all ships:

Britannia & Britannia Club Categories: 75%
Princess & Queens Grill Categories: 100%

The cruise line reserves the right to limit the sale of two-bed cabins for single use at a surcharge lower than 100% at any time.
Early booking discount
Depending on the time of booking and the desired cruise you benefit from up to 15% early booking discount. Details can be found in the price chart of the respective cruise. The amount of the early booking discount per cruise is variable and capacity controlled. The early booking discount currently applicable for your cruise is specified upon request. The early booking discount only applies to the first and second person of a booking. If you book on time, it will automatically be deducted from the premium price to be paid and is shown as a reduced travel price on your booking confirmation. There is only a limited offer available.

The company TEfra Travel Logistics GmbH offers the service of transporting your luggage directly from home to the ship and back, eliminating the need to carry suitcases and wait at the luggage belt.

Loss of luggage on a flight
If you lost something during the flight or at the airport, please contact your airline directly.

Internet
Wi-Fi is available on board for a fee. Various internet packages offer you internet access via your own device either for the entire cruise or just for individual days. Cunard World Club members who have internet credit due to their club status only book the internet packages on board so that their internet credit can be credited.Wi-Fi reception is available everywhere on the ship, but the signal strength is not the same everywhere on the ship. The internet connection aboard the ships is established via satellite and cannot be guaranteed at all times. It is also significantly slower and cannot be compared to high-speed connections on land. The costs for the booked internet packages will be billed to your credit card before the start of the cruise or will be charged to your onboard account if the booking is made on board. If you use other Internet connections with your own device that are accessible due to proximity to land, for example, these connection costs will not be billed to your onboard account, but rather to your private mobile phone provider. The onboard PCs in the ships' computer rooms also offer internet access for a fee.
Cabin / suite number or guaranteed cabin/suite
When booking the Cunard Premium price, select your preferred cabin / suite as part of the vessel's available cabins / suites. Thus, you determine the deck and the exact location (whether midship or bow /aft). However, if you choose a different price type than the premium price, for example the Smart Price, you choose a so-called guaranteed cabin instead of choosing an exact cabin or suite number. The allocation of the actual cabin / suite is made by Cunard. Accommodation is in the selected category / category type or a higher priced category / category type. Your travel price remains unchanged. Individual requests cannot be taken into account when allocating the cabin / suite numbers on a guarantee basis. You leave Cunard the choice of the deck and the exact location on the deck and thus the allocation of the main restaurant connected to the cabin / suite. It may be a cabin / suite with limited view, metal cladding on the balcony or other restrictions / features.
Cabins/suites for guests with special needs
The cruises on the ships are generally also suitable for people with reduced mobility. The ships are equipped with elevators, disabled access to public areas and most open decks, as well as a limited number of wheelchair-accessible cabins/suites of different categories. A few public areas of the ships - for example some viewing platforms - can only be reached via stairs. Please inform us upon booking if you are dependent on a mobility aid (e.g. wheelchair, mobility scooter or walker) or have other special requirements that need to be taken into account for your cruise.
Shore excursions
The cruise line offers a large selection of shore excursions in each port of call. The Cunard shore excursion programs can be found as booked guest early before the start of the cruise in the online customer portal „Meine Reise” The desired excursions can be booked online and paid for in advance. If there are still places available, bookings can also be made on board after the start of the cruise. The shore excursions are usually conducted with English-speaking guides and organized by local agencies. On certain cruises, shore excursions guided with German-speaking guide are also offered. The implementation of the shore excursions depends on a minimum number of participants. Feel free to ask for details.
Service and price changes before the conclusion of the contract
The details of the contractual travel services from the catalog correspond to the status at the time of printing. Please understand, however, that changes to the services or prices are possible until the request has been submitted for objective reasons. Cunard must therefore expressly reserve these. Of course, you will be informed about this before the conclusion of the contract.
Malaria
Find out whether the countries you are traveling to are malaria areas. Guests are strongly encouraged to consult their doctor or travel medical clinic to discuss their personal travel plans. Please take a copy of your itinerary, including pre- and post-cruise destinations, so that a full risk assessment can be made and appropriate malaria prevention advice can be given.

Pricie models

You choose your desired cabin/suite on the deck of your choice (subject to availability).
If a cabin upgrade can be offered, premium rate guests will be given priority.
You choose the size of your table at the main restaurant (subject to availability) and if you choose an indoor, outdoor or balcony cabin in the Britannia category, you have the choice between early, late or flexible dinner time.

Members of the Cunard World Club can look forward to a 5% club discount on the premium price if they book on time.
You have the option of a one-time, free rebooking or change to your booking. You have the right to cancel your booking free of charge for up to 7 days.
Your deposit amount is only 20% of the tour price.

Smart price
Depending on the capacity (the publication date is variable), so-called smart prices are published for certain travel dates. These are reduced compared to the premium price, but are linked to less flexible booking conditions and only apply to a limited offer. Individual categories can be selected for the Smart Price. However, choosing the exact cabin/suite number and deck is not possible (guaranteed cabin).Smart prices depend on supply and demand and can vary significantly depending on the time you book. The travel price is fixed when you book.

Premium onboard credit
The cruise line offers you as gift an onboard credit in US dollars when booking the premium fare for a cruise of at least seven nights. The amount varies depending on the cruise, duration and cabin category selected. The onboard credit will be credited to the onboard account on the first morning of the cruise and is valid per person for the first and second person in the cabin/suite. It can be used for drinks, spa treatments, shore excursions booked on board and for purchases at the onboard shops. The balance is non-transferable, cannot be paid out in cash, cannot be used to pay medical bills or purchase medicines, book future cruises, visas, exchange currency, participate in charity events or at the casino.
Safety/emergency drills
The greatest aim is to provide guests with a safe and worry-free cruise. For this reason, safety regulations aboard Cunard ships are taken very seriously, with Cunard operating one of the most comprehensive safety policies in the industry. Every port of call is continuously checked for safety. If a port does not meet Cunard's security requirements, route changes may occur at short notice in individual cases. Cunard asks for your understanding. To increase safety on board, certain areas of the ships may be monitored using video cameras.
The Cunard ships are among the safest cruise ships ever and meet global safety standards. Upon arrival in your cabin/suite, a safety video will be shown on television. All guests are encouraged to view this to familiarize themselves with procedures and safety instructions. After watching the video, go to your assigned emergency collection point, where staff will scan your boarding pass to record that you were there. This is mandatory for all guests. In your cabin/suite you will also find a black folder with safety instructions that provide information on what to do in an emergency and show the route to the emergency collection point associated with your cabin/suite. You are strongly advised to read this information carefully. Also, familiarize yourself with the use of the life jacket provided for each passenger. Children's life jackets are available from your cabin steward.

Sockets
Think about a socket adapter. The sockets in the cabins/suites are equipped with 3-pin UK and 2-pin US sockets, into which German plugs (Schuko plugs) do not fit without an adapter.
Gratuities on board
Our passion is to see you happy and content on board. Every Cunard employee contributes with passion and expertise so that you can experience the legendary Cunard White Star Service. Guests booking through Cunard Germany can choose to reward or not the cabin and restaurant stewards. Gratuities are warmly welcome but not expected. If a staff member makes a particularly important contribution to making your stay on board unforgettable, you are of course free to hand over a gratuity personally. If you would like to reward the entire hotel team, including behind-the-scenes staff, for services rendered, contact the Front Desk/Purser's Office for non-cash gratuities via your onboard account. The desired amount will then be automatically debited from your credit card.A 15% service fee will be charged for all drinks ordered separately (e.g. at the bars, restaurants and also for drinks from the minibar). A 12.5% service charge will be added to the invoice for spa/beauty salon services.
