Ponant: Le Commandant Charcot

Be one of the first guests aboard Le Commandant-Charcot, the revolutionary polar expedition ship, to embark on a unique journey to the Arctic or Antarctic, with unforgettable memories.
With its hybrid propulsion which combines fluid gas LPG and electric generators, the Le Commandant-Charcot minimizes environmental impact on expeditions in the highest latitudes.
For the design and decoration, PONANT commissioned two internationally renowned design and architectural firms: the studio Jean-Philippe Nuel and the architect's office Wilmotte & Associés. The decoration of the ship harmonizes with its surroundings. The approach is contemporary, with the aim of creating a welcoming and elegant ambience. Stone, wood and leather reflect the natural environment through which the ship moves.
With just 135 cabins, including 31 suites, all with a balcony, the Le Commandant-Charcot welcomes you in a cozy and elegant atmosphere. Excellent cuisine in one of the two restaurants, relaxing at the indoor pool with conservatory, relaxing in the wellness area with sauna and snow-room ... just ike on a private yacht!
