Scenic Jade

Scenic Jade is the seventh ship who joined the fleet of luxury Space-Ships respectively. The river cruise ship feature the signature Scenic Sun Lounges, as well as newly designed cabins and suites. 
With four sumptuous decks boasting a selection of private suites and public lounge and dining venues, every aspect of Scenic Jade has been carefully considered to be easily navigable and wonderfully luxurious. 
Measuring 135 metres in length, the Space-Ship is perfectly proportioned for navigating the preeminent waterways of Europe, and all without forfeiting your comfort, space and enjoyment. 
The generously appointed vessel features just 85 cabins, giving them a maximum guest capacity of 169. This affords guests a real appreciation of space and freedom, as well as complete intimacy and comfort. Luggage
Passengers are entitled to one suitcase per person. The suitcase must not exceed the dimensions 76.2 × 53.3 × 27.9 cm and weigh a maximum of 23 kg.
Helicopter and submarine excursions
The Scenic Eclipse fleet is equipped with two state-of-the-art Airbus H130-T2 helicopters^ that can accommodate the experienced pilot and six adventurers. As one of the quietest helicopters, it sets the standard in the skies with the latest technology and outstanding comfort.
Each helicopter has an air-conditioned interior and Bose® headphones for noise cancellation and onboard communication. The attached cameras will provide you with unique footage of your adventure. The two state-of-the-art Airbus H130-T2 helicopters promise breathtaking views and offer every comfort. This also applies to the Scenic Neptune submarine, which lets you explore the secrets of the oceans.

Vaccinations
Passengers are responsible for obtaining and carrying the necessary travel documents (e.g. visa, vaccination certificates), any vaccinations and  are responsible for compliance with customs and foreign exchange regulations, unless SCENIC has expressly agreed to procure any visas, certificates, etc.. All disadvantages, in particular the payment of cancellation costs as well as penalties, fines and expenses arising from non-compliance with these regulations shall be borne by the travel guest, unless they are caused by culpable misinformation or non-information on the part of SCENIC. Passengers are obliged to pay immediately any sums that SCENIC must pay or deposit in connection with this.
Special diets
If you have any special requests (including dietary or food requirements), you must notify us in writing at the time of booking. Please note that special requests cannot be guaranteed. Failure to meet special requests will not constitute a breach of contract on our part. Confirmation that a special request has been received or forwarded to the relevant service provider or the fact that the special request is included in your confirmation, invoice or other documentation does not constitute confirmation that the request will be met. If it is important to you, for your own security you should request written confirmation that a special request will be met (if such confirmation is possible). Conditional bookings, i.e. bookings made expressly on the condition that a specific request will be met, will not be accepted by the cruise line. All such bookings will be treated as standard bookings subject to the special request conditions above.
Power supply on board
The voltage on board is 220 volts. You need a universal travel plug adapter to use your electrical devices.

During the cruise

All-inclusive drinks
All drinks on board are included, with the exception of a few wines and selected types of champagne and spirits.    
Sightseeing, excursions ans special activities
a) Sightseeing:
Many historic cities and sites can only be visited on foot as they are not accessible by coach. A reasonable level of fitness is therefore required as the sightseeing tour may involve climbing steps and walking long distances over uneven terrain;
b) Mountain Excursions:
Some shore excursions include high altitude mountain excursions.
c) Discovery Experiences:
Most tours require a reasonable level of mobility. Discovery Experiences, including but not limited to dinghy tours, are subject to government approval and prevailing weather conditions. Tours can be booked during the cruise with your Cruise Director and are subject to availability, seasonal and operational factors. Some activities have a mandatory minimum or maximum number of participants to operate.
d) For expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctic, as well as excursions to mountain regions (Mountain Excursions) and Discovery Experiences (e.g. by dinghy, kayak, helicopter, e-bike, diving boat or with scuba diving equipment), a suitable level of physical fitness and health is required on the part of the participants. It is recommended that passengers consult a doctor before booking to ensure that they have an appropriate level of physical fitness and good health for the cruise in question.
e) The equipment for sports and water activities listed in the brochure may not be available in all ports or is subject to availability.
f) The implementation of all excursions/tours is dependent on a minimum number of registrations being reached. If the minimum number of bookings is not reached, a planned excursion/tour may be cancelled or changed by the cruise line.
Butler service
All suites include the personal service of a butler, specially trained to meet Scenic's high standards. He will take care of every detail and provide you with discreet and attentive service so you can relax.      
Electricity and Wi-Fi
Free Wi-Fi is available on board, however ships operate in domestic and international waters.
As a result, the connection speed over Wi-Fi can sometimes be slow, depending on where you are. There may be cases where no signal is available. The cruise line does not guarantee the availability and quality of internet connections, and no liability is accepted for any problems that may arise.
Noise, vibration and smell
Appropriate measures to minimize noise, vibration and odors on the cruise / cruise vessels will be taken. However, you acknowledge and agree that disturbances, vibration and odor nuisance may occur on ships and that the cruise line is not liable to you for noise, vibration or odors.
Medical care, ship's doctor
1) The presence of a ship's doctor is only owed if this is expressly provided for in the cruise description.The services of the ship doctor are not contractual services of SCENIC. The ship doctor carries out his work independently and on his own responsibility and is not subject to any instructions from SCENIC or the ship crew. The travel price does not include any services provided by the ship doctor; these are to be remunerated exclusively by the travelers themselves. SCENIC does not owe any information about the options for treatment on a health insurance certificate or the costs of statutory health insurance companies and/or corresponding reimbursements from statutory or private health insurance companies. The ship doctor is neither an assistant nor a vicarious agent of SCENIC. SCENIC is not liable for the accessibility and availability of the ship doctor, for adhering to certain consultation and treatment times, for omitted treatment or assistance or for treatment errors.

2) The treatment on the ship is treatment that is equivalent to a visit to a doctor abroad (e.g. in Switzerland,Bahamas, Myanmar, Vietnam). Payment is made by boarding card, billing by insurance card is not possible. SCENIC is not liable for the part or full reimbursement of the treatment costs by the respective health insurance of the traveler.

3) Extensive medical treatment on board is only possible to a limited extent. Dialysis and dental treatments cannotbe carried out on board. The onboard pharmacy is stocked for general illnesses and for first emergency treatment.In the event of a medical emergency, the patient will be disembarked and taken to a nearby hospital on land. The travel guest/patient bears the associated costs. Guests requiring medical treatment should carry their medical records with them.    

4) SCENIC recommends that passengers inquire about the benefits of their health insurance when travelling abroad before embarking on the cruise or take out private international travel health insurance, which also offers the passenger insurance cover for the risks associated with a cruise, including the costs of medical care and costs and expenses incurred by the passenger due to an evacuation for medical reasons, which may be necessary from remote areas.

5) SCENIC accepts no liability for the provision of medical care or the adequacy of any care/support services that may be provided.
Smoking on board
Smoking is restricted to designated smoking areas and is not permitted neither in the cabinsn or on balconies and terraces.

Language
The official language on board is English. All officers, staff and crew, as well as local guides and regional specialists, are fluent in English. All announcements and lectures will be presented in English.
Currency and credit cards
Most of the countries visited use the euro, although some countries have another currency. For small purchases on shore leave or in small towns, it is an advantage to have local currency with you. Credit cards are accepted in many places. Before you travel, you should make sure that your card and PIN work in your destination countries. All onboard purchases will be charged to your onboard account. The currencies on board are USD and EUR depending on the destination.

Documents and papers

Passport and visa regulations
As with all international travel, guests must be in possession of a passport valid for six months beyond the end of the cruise. It is the responsibility of each guest to have a valid passport and to meet any necessary visa, immigration, health or other requirements of the countries visited. Scenic and/or its employees and agents are not responsible for any passport, visa, immigration, health or other requirements of the countries visited or any loss incurred as a result of non-compliance with any laws, regulations, orders and/or requirements of the countries visited . Government guidelines and visa regulations can change at short notice. Scenic encourages you to check with the appropriate consulates for the latest information on visa requirements specific to your origin and destination and each country on your itinerary. Guests who do not have the correct visa or other documents required to enter a country may be denied embarkation. As it is a requirement from international authorities that passports are available for inspection at all times as soon as you board the ship, your passport will be scanned at check-in and, depending on the destination, may be held in the ship's safe. Some ports require you to carry your passport ashore with you.
