Continue through the small town of Nieuwegein – perhaps you pay a quick visit to Fort Jutphaas, hidden in a green oasis in Nieuwegein, before reaching Utrecht. The city was built around the cathedral, making it virtually impossible to get lost in the traffic-calmed city center with its idyllic canals.

Afterwards, tour through the beautiful polder landscape via Oudewater with its famous Witches' Weigh House to the silver town of Schoonhoven with its traditional Dutch old town.
