Wheelchair users
The ships have cabins specially designed for wheelchair users. As with all Carnival Cruise Line cabins, these cabins are assigned according to the date the booking. It is therefore advisable to book disabled and wheelchair accessible cabins well in advance. There are two different classes of cabins:
Cabins for people with disabilities:
These cabins differ from the standard cabins through the extended door frames. The cabin passage is approx. 74 cm wide. The door frame to the bathroom has a width of 56 cm to 74 cm. The cabins are designed for guests with reduced mobility and for guests who require a wheelchair for longer distances.
Wheelchair accessible cabins:
These cabins have door widths of approx. 80 cm everywhere. There are no steps to the bathroom, the showers are wheelchair accessible and have folding seats. In addition, there is the possibility of turning in a wheelchair in the cabins. These cabins are reserved for guests who use (electric) wheelchairs or guests with reduced mobility. For safety reasons, wheelchairs may not be parked in the aisles, but must be kept in the cabins.
In some ports, all passengers are brought ashore by small boats (tender boats). Some of these tenders may not be wheelchair accessible or certain weather conditions may make the wheelchair tendering process difficult. In such cases, the ship's officers will make the decision as to whether or not the guest can be safely brought ashore by tender, taking into account the safety of the guests.
Tender ports are: Cabo San Lucas, Catalina California, Catalina Dominican Republic, Cannes France, Belize, Half Moon Cay Bahamas, Grand Cayman, Zihuatanejo-Ixtapa (Mexico), Kona (Hawaii), Newport Rhode Island, Sitka (Alaska).
Possible tender ports are: Cozumel, Ketchikan, Dubrovnik, Katakolon.
If you require assistance with embarkation and disembarkation, Carnival Cruise Line will gladly provide you with a wheelchair. Please register these as they are only available in limited quantities. Wheelchairs can also be borrowed on board; there is no guarantee that you will be able to use the wheelchair uninterruptedly. Wheelchairs from the ship may not be taken off board.
People with diabetes /medical storage
If you are traveling with injectable medicine and require a container for storage, please contact the medical station or your stateroom steward on board..The cabins are equipped with minibars, which are intended to cool drinks. Please do not use the minibars to store medicines that require a special temperature. If you have any medication that requires special cooling, please contact reception where you will have access to a cooling machine 24 hours a day.
Ships with minibars are: Carnival Conquest, Dream, Freedom, Glory, Legend, Liberty, Magic, Miracle, Pride, Spirit, Splendor, and Valor.

Carnival Cruise Line can accommodate guests with the following special dietary requirements: vegetarian, low-cholesterol, low-fat, low-carbohydrate, reduced-sugar, gluten-free, Indian vegetarian, and kosher. If you have any allergies, please contact the kitchen/service staff on board.
Dialysis
Carnival cannot provide dialysis machines for guests requiring blood dialysis. However, we gladly have guests onboard who require peritoneal (self) dialysis. In this case, guests must bring their own devices and medication and store them in the cabin.
Deaf/hard of hearing
In-cabin notification systems are available upon request. This includes: vibrating alert for danger. The cabin phones are equipped with PA amplifiers. Infrared systems are available in the show lounges on some ships.
Blind
Braille signs are available on some of the ships. Braille and large print formats are available with prior notice for the following documents: important in-cabin notices, cruise ticket contract and the welcome booklet. Guests are also offered the daily onboard newspaper, Carnival Capers, in audio format with advance notice.
Guide dogs
Carnival Cruise Line allows on board guide dogs that are specially trained. However, please note that many of our ports-of-call have very strict animal pölicies. Therefore, guests with guide dogs wishing to disembark in the ports should contact the US Department of Agriculture for specific destination and country regulations.
