Harderwijk has from its more thna 770 years of history, many well-preserved historic buildings. Even its old city walls are largely intact. The Great Church, the Vanghentoren Tower, the Vischpoort Gate and the former council chamber with its rare gold leather wallpaper should not be missed under any circumstance. Even the mill De Hoop and the city museum are worth a visit. Stroll along the promenade by the sea and enjoy the flair of this lively little town on one of its many café terraces! Known beyond the borders Harderwijk is also famous because of its Dolfinarium, the largest marine animal park in Europe.
