Before the cruise

Arrival
Whether by train or car, your arrival is always planned individually by you. If you arrive by car, the cruise line will be glad to provide you with information about parking options.
Excursions and visits
The excursions mentioned on the offer pages are not included in the travel price. Excursions can be booked in advance; Additional bookings are possible on board subject to availability. The execution of the excursions always depends on reaching the minimum number of participants. For short-term bookings, excursions can be paid for on board in cash or by credit or debit card.
Embarkation and disembarkation
In your travel documents you will find detailed embarkation instructions for the exact berth at the embarkation point. Despite officially confirmed berths, ships may have to change these at short notice. Please also note the information on site and the exact embarkation times.
Schedule and program changes
Changes and deviations of individual travel services from the agreed content of the travel contract, which become necessary after the conclusion of the contract, e.g. due to the special circumstances of cruising, are permitted as long as they are not significant, do not lead to a significant change in the travel service and do not affect the overall layout of the cruise. The same applies for changes to travel times and/or routes (e.g. for safety and weather reasons), which are the sole responsibility of the captain responsible for the ship.
Noises
Your ship is on the one hand your "holiday hotel", but on the other hand it is also a "work tool" that moves with engine power. As a result, typical ship noises may occur at any time (partly when passing through locks and bridges and the resulting entry and exit of the structure). We recommend guests who are sensitive to noise to take with them hearing protection/ear plugs.
Port berths
In many cities it is common for the port authorities to allocate a common berth to several ships if necessary. In these cases, the vessels are side by side and the clear view from your cabin may be affected.
Travel insurance
It is advisable to take out travel insurance.
Cancellation of the cruise
You can cancel the cruise at any time by paying cancellation fees.

During the cruise

Some of the river cruises are not suitable for people with restricted mobility. The cruiseline will be glad to provide information about suitability, taking into account the guests' respective needs.
Onboard language
In addition to German, English is also the onboard language on most ships.
Diet/allergies

A vegan diet is possible on the MS Prinzessin Katharina, but not on the MS SE-Manon.

The sun deck will be closed on the Main-Danube Canal.
Gratuities
It is international practice for a satisfied guest to reward the performance of the ship's staff accordingly. The amount of thegratuity is of course up to each guest and should be an acknowledgment of a good service. It is advisable to pay around EUR 8,- to 10,- per guest and night aboard the ships.

The following bike tours are already included:
- Wageningen: bike tour through the charming Lower Rhine river valley. At midday, you ride through Arnhem's city center and cross the historic "John Frost Bridge." This bridge was the subject of the Battle of Arnhem in 1944 as part of "Operation Market Garden." In the afternoon, you continue along the IJssel River to the Hanseatic city of Doesburg. Alternatively, you can extend your bike tour individually (unguided) by approximately 15 kilometers and ride through the forests and heathlands of the Veluwe National Park. The 5,400-hectare park is home to many plants and animals (if you wish to visit the park, a day ticket is approximately €13).
- Doesburg: bike tour in the Hanseatic city of Doesburg. From here, you follow the Hanseatic Route along the IJssel River to Bronkhorst, which prides itself on being the smallest city in the Netherlands. The destination of your tour is Zutphen, the city of towers. During dinner, you will cruise to Deventer. The historic "Stadsplein de Brink" was a central meeting place in Deventer during Hanseatic times and today offers many cozy café terraces.
- Wijhe: during breakfast, cruise to Wijhe and start of your bike tour. You take the ferry (approx. €1.50 per person) across the IJssel River and then ride through forests and the beautiful natural landscape of the eastern Veluwe. In the afternoon, you reach Hattem and Zwolle, respectively. Both cities are lively Hanseatic cities with charming, medieval old towns. During dinner, cruise to Kampen, with one of the best-preserved city centers in the Netherlands.
- Reevesluis: ride along the Veluwemeer Lake – here you can swim, boat, surf, and much more – through typical Dutch landscapes to Elburg, a charming fortress and fishing town. A visit to the historic city center, measuring just 250 by 350 meters, is definitely a must. Through extensive forest areas of the Veluwe, you reach Harderwijk. A walk through the town inevitably leads you to the Onze Lieve Vrouwekerk (Our Lady's Church), a basilica dating back to the 14th/15th century.
- Harderwijk: ride through flat coastal landscapes, forests, and moors. If the weather is nice, you should take a swim in the Strand Nulde recreation area. Along the Eem River, you will reach Spakenburg, which has always been a fishing port and whose museum harbor is now the heart of the small town.
- Huizen: ride to the beautiful fortress town of Naarden and Muiderslot Castle in Muiden. Quiet roads lead you to Amsterdam. Spend the afternoon and evening in Amsterdam.

Please note:
Private bicycles cannot be brought along.

More information is available upon request.

Please note
Schedule and program are generally subject to change. If, for example, a route cannot be sailed on due to low water, high water or bad weather, the captain reserves the right to change the route for your safety (this is not a free reason for cancellation). The same applies to lock and/or bridge repairs ordered by the authorities that were not announced in advance.
