Aurora - exclusive travels with British flair

Your single cabin is the retreat where you can watch movies on demand or watch the ocean on a large flat screen. You decide when to go to one of the pools or a sauna for a change. After a hearty, high-class meal you dance the calories away in dance lessons.

But the typical British Aurora has much more to offer. The ship owned by P & O Cruises shows great cinema and theatrical performances, and above the Crystal Pool there is a Skydome that guarantees a special swim pleasure in all weathers.

With its truncated bow over the British flag, the Aurora is easy to spot. Since 2000, up to 1,878 passengers have checked in on the 270-meter-long ship. Completely rebuilt in 2014, almost two-thirds of the outside cabins have their own balcony. The "Cow nest" offers a panoramic view.

Before the cruise

Age restrictions
Guests under the age of 18 must travel with an adult of 18 years or older. Youths under the age of 16 may be denied access to individual lounges and public spaces. The minimum age for most cruises is 6 months. For transatlantic and world tours as well as for travels to exotic areas the minimum age of 12 months applies. Alcohol may be consumed as of 18 years. In American waters, this minimum age is 21 years. 16- and 17-year-olds are allowed to consume wine and beer at the restaurant during the main meals in the presence of their parents.
Check-in
As a rule, the check-in is staggered to avoid waiting times. You will find your recommended check-in time on the travel documents. Check-in starts at noon at the earliest and is possible until 15.30.
Check-out
The disembarkation normally lasts from about 08.45 to 10.15. If you want to check out earlier and are ready to take your luggage off board yourself, you can normally do so from about 7.30 am. Please contact the front desk the day before disembarkation. On the day before disembarkation, your recommended time of disembarkation will be brought to your cabin. The disembarkation will again be staggered to reduce waiting times. Please allow enough time between disembarkation and return flight. All times may vary and depend on various factors such as e.g. the customs clearance.
Diet food
The following wishes can be considered: vegetarian, vegan, low / no fat, low / no salt, lactose, gluten, wheat free, low cholesterol, diabetic and kosher diet. Special requests will be considered if possible. Please inform the cruise line upon booking, but no later than six weeks before departure.

Luggage
Please provide all your luggage with P & O Cruises luggage tags that come with your travel documents. Your luggage is then automatically transported from the pier to the cabin. Time delays are possible due to the large quantities. On the return journey your luggage will be transported to a collection point at the port (please note board infos). The conclusion of a luggage insurance is recommended. See also "Hand luggage".

The dimensions of the wheelchair must be agreed with P & O Cruises before departure. For safety reasons, guests who rely on a wheelchair cannot be transported by tenderboats when the ship lies in the roads. Due to low tide and high tide, certain ports can likewise not be visited for safety reasons.
