MSC will gladly inform you in advance of the contract about the passport, visa and health requirements that apply to you for your cruise. If there is any further uncertainty, travelers of other nationalities should contact the competent embassies in their countries.
The basic rule is: On all cruises that only call at ports in the EU as well as in Norway and Iceland, German citizens need an identity card that is valid for at least 6 months after the end of the cruise. All babies and children up to the age of 14 need a children's passport with photo, otherwise an electronic passport (ePass) that is valid for at least 6 months more after the end of the cruise. Entry of the child in the passport of a legal guardian is no longer sufficient. Even after your booking, entry requirements can change at short notice until your booked departure. Please check the information provided again using the database provided within a reasonable period of time before you start your cruise. Furthermore, you are asked to note the special information below regarding passport/visa requirements for certain countries. As a customer, you are responsible for conscientiously complying with the applicable travel documents.
In the event of a violation or non-compliance with passport, visa or other travel documents, MSC Cruises S.A. is therefore entitled to deny embarkation or, in the event of problems with the state entry authorities, to pass on to you any penalties and fines that may arise.
