- Alken: from here, you ride to Moselkern and then on to Cochem, where historic half-timbered houses in the Old Town, the Town Hall, and the old market square with St. Martin's Fountain await you – and the Reichsburg Castle towers above it all like a fairytale castle. For inexperiencedbike riders, we recommend spending the day on board to enjoyi a free afternoon in Cochem.
- Cochem: after breakfast, you ride along the winding Moselle, first to the town of Beilstein. This charming little town even made film history as "Rothenburg an der Mosel." After a short walking tour, you will pass Europe's steepest vineyard, the Bremmer Calmont, and then to Zell an der Mosel – famous for the "Zeller Schwarze Katz" vineyard. You should take the time to get to know the excellent wines of the Moselle.
- Zell: today, you first ride through romantic Traben-Trarbach, the Art Nouveau town on the Middle Moselle, and then through the world-famous wine-growing town of Kröv to Bernkastel-Kues. Here, stately half-timbered houses line the medieval market square, inviting you to explore.
- Bernkastel-Kues: your journey will take you to Piesport, the largest wine-growing community on the Moselle. This is also home to the largest Roman wine press ever discovered north of the Alps. In Neumagen-Dhron, Germany's oldest wine-growing town, you can see a replica of a Roman wine ship before you continue to Mehring in the early afternoon. You ride via Pfalzel to Trier. One of Germany's oldest cities is worth a thorough walking tour: its Roman roots have been kept alive through imposing buildings such as the Porta Nigra, a city gate of gigantic proportions, and the Basilica of Constantine.
- Trier: today you ride along the river from Trier via Wasserbillig in Luxembourg to Saarburg, also known as "Little Venice." The townscape is characterized by narrow streets, half-timbered houses, baroque buildings, and colorful fishermen's and boatmen's houses.
