MS Princess Katharina: tour on the queen of the rivers

With the MS Princess Katharina, you can stroll along the Danube in a relaxed manner. Whether it’s Vienna, the city of Mozart, Bratislava with its famous baroque castle, or Hungary’s capital, Budapest: there’s a lot to see along the almost 3,000-kilometre-long river. Meanwhile, enjoy a well-deserved break from everyday life on board the SE-Tours river cruise ship. With a maximum of 142 guests, there is a relaxed and private atmosphere on board. You can relax either in one of the cozy and optimally furnished outside cabins or, for example, on the spacious sun deck. Enjoy a fresh cappuccino on one of the loungers while gazing at the passing landscapes and cities. You will have your breakfast, lunch and dinner at the panoramic restaurant; two bars provide coffee specialties or aperitifs in between. After a long excursion, you can also fortify yourself with cakes and pastries in the afternoon. Or you can book a massage. Have you already finished your holiday reading? You will definitely find supplies in the library.

** Prices are subject to change at any time.

Before the cruise

Arrival
Whether by train or car, your arrival is always planned individually by you. If you arrive by car, the cruise line will be glad to provide you with information about parking options.
Excursions and visits
The excursions mentioned on the offer pages are not included in the travel price. Excursions can be booked in advance; Additional bookings are possible on board subject to availability. The execution of the excursions always depends on reaching the minimum number of participants. For short-term bookings, excursions can be paid for on board in cash or by credit or debit card.
Embarkation and disembarkation
In your travel documents you will find detailed embarkation instructions for the exact berth at the embarkation point. Despite officially confirmed berths, ships may have to change these at short notice. Please also note the information on site and the exact embarkation times.
Schedule and program changes
Changes and deviations of individual travel services from the agreed content of the travel contract, which become necessary after the conclusion of the contract, e.g. due to the special circumstances of cruising, are permitted as long as they are not significant, do not lead to a significant change in the travel service and do not affect the overall layout of the cruise. The same applies for changes to travel times and/or routes (e.g. for safety and weather reasons), which are the sole responsibility of the captain responsible for the ship.
Noises
Your ship is on the one hand your "holiday hotel", but on the other hand it is also a "work tool" that moves with engine power. As a result, typical ship noises may occur at any time (partly when passing through locks and bridges and the resulting entry and exit of the structure). We recommend guests who are sensitive to noise to take with them hearing protection/ear plugs.
Port berths
In many cities it is common for the port authorities to allocate a common berth to several ships if necessary. In these cases, the vessels are side by side and the clear view from your cabin may be affected.
Travel insurance
It is advisable to take out travel insurance.
Cancellation of the cruise
You can cancel the cruise at any time by paying cancellation fees.

The following bike tours are already included:
- Engelhartszell: the Engelhartszell Abbey is worth a visit, known for its beautifully renovated church, but also for its healing herbal schnapps. Ride downstream along the former towpath. A special treat is a ride on the nutshell-sized ferry (approx. €6 per person) through the Schlögener Loop. From Aschach, you can take a boat to Linz. Tip: Explore the town on the bright yellow City Express.
- Mauthausen: early morning cruise to Mauthausen. In the morning, you have the opportunity to visit the concentration camp memorial. You can gain deep insight into the past at the Celtic village in Mitterkirchen. The route continues through the vast, fertile plains of the Machland region. The destination of this day's stage is the charming town of Grein, also known as the Pearl of the Strudengau due to its idyllic location. Worth seeing: Greinburg Castle, Austria's oldest residential castle (closed on Mondays and can only be visited as part of the optional excursion offered).
- Grein: your bike tour begins in the fascinating landscape of the "wild Strudengau" – the narrow part of the Danube that was once notorious among boatmen. The bike path continues to Melk with its magnificent Benedictine Abbey. Here you reboard the ship. A night cruise through the Wachau and arrival in the garden city of Tulln.
- Tulln: Klosterneuburg Abbey lies just outside Vienna. The dome of this magnificent 900-year-old Baroque building is visible from afar, and the "Verdun Altar" is one of the highlights of medieval goldsmithing. From the Heurigen village of Kahlenbergerdorf, a short hike through the vineyards to the viewing terrace of Kahlenberg is worthwhile. You will be rewarded with a beautiful view of the metropolis.
- Rossatz: The rolling hills with idyllic villages, terraced vineyards, castles, monasteries, and ruins will enchant you. The blue tower of Dürnstein Abbey is a landmark of the Wachau region. Enjoy a last view of the imposing Melk Abbey, one of Austria's most important Baroque buildings, before reboarding. A celebratory farewell dinner awaits in the evening. A night cruise to Passau follows.
